YouTube Premium Price Hike Delayed for Early Google Play Subscribers
YouTube has said that for the people who signed up for YouTube Red through Google Play at early-adopter prices, there will be a 3-month free trial before the next monthly price comes into force. It will apply to any user subscribed to YouTube Premium or YouTube Music Premium.
Paul Pennington, the communication director of YouTube, asserted that such subscribers will maintain paying for the current rate for the next three months too. This delays enables them to have ample time in order to prepare for the price change which lies ahead.
This period will help users decide whether to remain with their subscriptions or not whether they will go for the free services offered online. Another way in which it has the advantage of the other methods is that it makes it easier to transition to the new pricing tier.
This includes the plan to increase subscription fees, which will affect subscribers around the world in the long term to new and old customers alike. But it will be temporary and early adopters of this theory will stand to benefit from it.
This may useful in retaining the customers during the transition as users are provided with more freedom in handling the rates.
